As of January 2010, Shelter Ecology will no longer stock product. However, the following products are available by individual order needs and special order needs: MURCO Joint & Texturing Compound: Acts as a drywall mud or a texturing compound. Murco is a Hypo Allergenic formulation that is asbestos preservative free, and formaldehyde free, low odor and made specifically for chemical and allergy sensitive individuals. Murco does not contain any slow releasing compounds, so it is important to mix only what can be used in 24 hours time. It cannot be applied in temperatures below 55 degrees. Further directions are printed on each 25 pound bag. A 25 pound bag makes 3 – 3.5 gallons. LIFE TIME WOOD TREATMENT  LifeTime wood treatment is suitable for all types of outdoor wood, is totally natural (powder based made of naturally occuring plant and mineral substances- a family recipe from Canada), and is virtually maintenance free from the time you apply it. It never has to be reapplied! LifeTime cannot be worn off and will not peel or fade. Natural weathering actually increases the wood’s beauty and effectiveness. Over time, and with weather changes, all LifeTime wood turns to a silver-dark brown patina. This natural patina is a weathering process offering high UV protection. LifeTime is absolutely harmless to soil, animals or plants! It can be applied with brush, sprayer, roller or by dipping- and it can be applied in ANY TEMPERATURE- even 0 degrees Celcius! In powder form, this product can be stored indefinitely. After mixing with water, as long as the container is well sealer, it will last a long time as well, especially if distilled or really clean water is used.
AFM Safecoat finishes (call for pricing) AFM is available through Shelter Ecology in case quantities only and special pricing will be granted on larger project orders of 30 gallons or more. Velvit Oil finishes (call for pricing) Velvit Oil Products: A VOC compliant deep penetrating interior and exterior oil and resin finish with naturally derived waterproofing ingredient that soak into the wood to create a barrier against water and moisture. CDF (Cabin and Deck Finish) exterior oil when applied full strength gives long lasting protection against cracking and mildew. Interior Oil is lead free both in its natural state and with tints. In a liquid state it does contain petroleum distillates. After it has cured, no toxic residues remain.
Natures Carpet (call for pricing) Natures Carpet: a fine Canadian carpet (warehouse in US) made from wool that is cleaned in a chemical free process (no mothproofing like in other wools). Natural rubber latex is used in the binding process along with natural, chemical free jute backing. Most styles are made with natural vegetable dyes and are naturally colorfast. Ideal carpet for most chemically sensitive individuals. Available in Broadloom in 5 styles with 2 different colorways per style. Rugs can be cut to size, but they do not bind them. Call for pricing.
