I do recommend that you order a sample of the carpet to test for reactivity if you have immune system sensitivity issues due to the fact that each person's immune system has different tolerance levels to different things, regardless of whether it is a natural product or not.

* Underlay: The preferred carpet underlay for Nature's Carpet is the Hair Felt Cushion. The 100% wool cushion is post carpet production but pre consumer. The wool used is New Zealand wool. A beautiful collection of 100% natural fiber rugs & broadloom carpets. Teflon 13 is added to the top of many styles for stain resistance, natural latex rubber backing. Inquire for specific samples. All prices are per square yard.

1- Fibre works collections offer a diverse mix of natural fibers including Sisal, Jute, Cheena™, Bamboo, Chenille, Wool, Cotton, Seagrass, Mountain Grass, Coir, Leather, Linen & Paper. They also offer outdoor wovens of Polypropylene.

EXPANKO®
Cork is a natural product. No stains or dyes are used to achieve colors, all colors are created by nature. Color and shade variations are inherent with this natural product. During installation, random selection of tiles is suggested.
Wax finish: Three coats of 100% natural non-modified carnauba wax are applied which creates a lasting, easy to maintain surface coating. Carnauba wax has the durability and wear-resistance that is required in commercial and residential installations.
Waxed finished cork floors have proven their durability for over 80 years in a variety of high traffic installations. They can easily be restored to their original beauty and luster by simply buffing and applying additional coats of wax. In addition, scratches can be easily repaired by re-waxing only the damaged tile, thus avoiding the need to re-coat the entire floor.
Regular maintenance for Expanko cork floors finished with carnauba wax entails regular sweeping and damp mopping with a well wrung out damp mop and a mild solution of Ivory liquid soap and water. Regular buffing after cleaning will further enhance the look of the floor. Depending upon traffic and maintenance, application of paste wax is required every 6-12 months in normal cases. This process can be performed easily by an experienced maintenance crew.
Polyurethane Finish: Polyurethane finish is superior to all other finishes available. Three layers of the polyurethane are applied making the flooring resistant to the scratching and wear common to other finishes. Additionally, the finish is applied using a method, which creates a surface that enhances and protects the natural beauty and texture of the cork.
Maintenance for Expanko's polyurethane finished cork flooring entails regular sweeping and damp mopping with a well wrung out damp mop and a mild solution of Ivory liquid soap and water. Regular buffing after cleaning will further enhance the look of the floor. Depending upon traffic and maintenance, re-application of the polyurethane is recommended when signs of wear appear (typically 4-8 years). The recoating process should be performed by an experienced professional, familiar with apply polyurethane. The process takes 4-5 hours and will be ready for foot traffic 4-6 hours after completion.
Polyurethane is the only cork floor finish available that is suitable for use in heavy commercial applications.

and finish systems are not used.
All Returns must be authorized in writing by Expanko with a return material authorization (RMA) form. Returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee and will not be accepted on custom orders, damaged cartons or after 60 days. Returns are at the sole risk of the shipper. Returns that arrive damaged will not be credited.

VALLAREX Cork Floating Floor from Expanko offers the beauty of cork with the ease and versatility of a glueless installation. Cork, a proven flooring since the 1920s and 1930s, is natural, resilient, quiet, comfortable, durable, and easy to maintain. This intriguing product starts with the finest quality raw materials, hand harvested from the cork oak tree in the Mediterranean region of Europe. Expanko uses high-density fiberboard to add strength and durability to the core of the floor plank and has a cork underlayment as the bottom layer of the plank. VALLAREX can be installed in many residential installations as well as select commercial applications.
Vallarex comes prefished with Bona Kemi Traffic water-based Matte polyurethane.
