Commonly Asked Questions about: MOLD REMEDIATION: Toxic mold found in homes and buildings is one of the most widely recognized and diagnosed problems of this decade. Many people are waking up to the fact that their health has a direct relationship to the IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) in their homes or offices. Mold can be remediated. Sometimes it is as easy as removing visible mold and other times it can be as difficult as looking inside the structure for non-visible sources. While Shelter Ecology offers a "do it yourself, practical" approach to more simple mold problems, often, non-visible mold will need to be investigated by a Certified Industrial Hygenist. The simple approach offered by Shelter Ecology, Inc. is designed to help maintain lower levels of airborne biological pollutants in the home or office. It is not designed to eliminate structural mold. It can be used to eliminate visible mold if the indoor air of the space is climately controlled from the remediation on through heat, air conditioning, dehumidification and ventilation (when applicable in tighter construction).
